Looked at the menu online, and decided to get the halibut family meal (7 pcs) for takeout. Ordered by phone, and the person who took the order did not mention that the halibut was an extra $35. Got to the restaurant to pick up meal, and it was way more than I expected. The online menu should have the extra charge shown more clearly, even if the halibut IS really good.
Called in advance order took almost a half an hour extra to get extremely disappointed by this. Batter was standard, ok fries and the fish was decent for cost. - So, ill be honest I am not going to email the 'company' I doubt the staff need to learn anything (sometimes you are swamped and that happens or maybe there was a mix up on my order or someone lost the ticket). That aside a 3 star review is more or less how I would view the food quality and the restaurant. This isn't a place you need to save up for the year to go out and eat. It's a place you can go and enjoy some standard quality food that is alright. If there are other reviews that are similar to mine then I would probably worry though (in regards to the time it took to get the take out order).
Entered and our son was excited to see the fish tank. Host offered to move table so that our son could watch the fish while we ate. AMAZING!! Food was great. After we ate and were paying our son was given a stuffed Joey fish animal. Can we say service that went above and beyond!!! Great experience! Thank you!!!!
My experiences has always been very positive..great staff great foodHOWEVER TODAY WAS JUST NASTY the chips were double friends in warm up..they were very very scant..now the fish..two very small small pieces..when you got batter off there was no fish left..AND NOW IT $14.95.Outrageous outrageous for what I got..I doubt very much I will be back paying that much for what I got.Sorry will find a new place for lunch..note I have been a loyal patron to Joey's since 1991 in Calgary. It would be no stars at all but I cant post unless I give you at least a one
Great service and amazing food! The only down side is it's right by the injection sight so some of those people came in.. won't stop me from giving 5 stars anyway because it's not their fault!
